Social [Media] Butterflies blog hop :]

Hellllo fellow social media lovers, crafters & scrapbookers!

Hopefully you started out on our [welcome page] & know you're in for lots of chances to win some amazing prizes & see lots of new projects by some incredible ladies! I decided to start the Social [Media] Butterflies group to show off the talents of the amazing ladies I've met through social media, I don't think this industry would be what it is today without the help of all the connections we have! I will be hosting a blog hop every month on the 29th, feel free to contact me at sbookinshay29@aol.com if you would like to become involved, we'd love to have you!

To start you off, I scraplifted [Trisha], which is the inspiration behind this blog hop! She posted this awesome layout on her instagram feed,  I immediately knew it would be perfect to make with some of the projects I have! Go check her out on instagram-- trishacakes or see her Studio Calico gallery here >>> trishacakes24

The dearlizzy polaroid paper is definitely one of my favorites, I bought a few of them to hoarde, but Echo Park & Studio Calico make similar designs as well. But when I saw her page what I reallllly wanted was to make use of my Lawn Fawn Say Cheese stamp set. Here's what I did with the same basic layout as Trisha's page--

A few detail shots:

Used Basic Grey PB&J, little details from my OHDeerMe June kit,

some bits & pieces from Studio Calico & a flair button from A Flair for Buttons :] Absolutely LOVE how it looks!

Sadly, Trisha couldn't make it last minute, but she'll definitely be joining us next month on the hop, but still go send her some love on her projects! Instead, next you'll head to Margrethe's blog who I owe a scraplift to make up for it :] You won't have ANY problem falling in love with her projects, so hop on over!

&& who DOESN'T love a giveaway?? I promised you lots of inspiration & prizes, so of course I have to giveaway one here at my blog! I am giving away a $10 store credit to Freckled Fawn because I absolutely LOVE their products & I know you will too! Leave a comment below, follow me here, twitter, or instagram and let me know about it-- all these chances! & one of you will be the lucky winner, I'll give you until Sunday the 1st at midnight EST. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy our Social [Media] Butterflies blog hop!

under construction.

As you visit my blog the next few days, it will be going through a few changes, so I apologize for the state it could be in when you visit LOL. Please ignore it's simplicity while I work out the kinks, and just look at the pretty pictures :]

Getting a lot done lately, and counting down very impatiently to CHA! I cannot wait to go back to Chicago & walk the show! I LOVED last summer, and it cannot get here fast enough! I will be there early to spend time with my bestie, Sarah, who lives in CHi-O & we'll squeeze in a show, shopping, the Pier, & hopefully a Cubs game! I LOVE going to visit her, and it's so nice combining a visit with show, especially since this one'll be nice & long! Any suggestions on things to do/see that I maybe haven't?! I love checking out new things when I go, there's always so much to do in the city!

Now to finish the night scrapbooking, I am seriously working my butt of to get projects done. I'm realllly missing being at a scrapbooking store, & with Simply closing I'm just super bummed. I would LOVE to work at a store again, especially since BWs just isn't cuttin it these days. I'm on a mission to find something in the scrapbooking world, because that's where I want to be. && I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something comes up soon, I'd LOVE to spend all my time surrounded by what I love most :]

&& if you don't know, I am now hosting a monthly iG challenge, with a group of ladies, Social [Media] Butterflies as I like to call them :] Make sure you check back Friday, and see what it's all about! There willlll be prizes, GOOD ones!

Lots of love & happy scrapping!

last Simply crop EVER.

So heartbreaking.
Just got back from the very crowded last Friday night crop at Simply Scrapbooks.
Still keeping my fingers crossed that someone buys the store :[ Definitely glad my schedule worked out so I could go this very last time, and all my faves were there. I really want to know where I'm supposed to hang out now that I can't just go sit and hang out at the store, help customers that think I still work there, buy more junk-- my everyday there lol.

Here's a few pictures from the store:

Worked on some Elle's Studio Challenges for there kickoff this weekend, played with some Studio Calico kits && worked on Project Life. I'll finish some of them up and get pics up later in the weekend.....
