CHA. 12 [Day 3]

I can't believe it's OVER! I had the best time this week at Summer show-- meeting social media lovies in real life was a HUGE highlight, talking to new companies, && getting hired for a few more events this fall-- oh and did I mention the goodies??? Before I show you my haul, let me show you some more of the people, papers & projects I saw :]

Echo Park is always a favorite, and it definitely helps that I LOVE the people. Madison & Jody are AMAZING & I feel blessed to know them, and very lucky that I get to work at events for them [come check me out at their Scrapfest booth, I'll be teaching their make n takes!] Meeting Lori was super fun, and I always enjoy talking over new ideas & products with Jody. I am even MORE excited that they snagged Allison Kreft, formerly from Hambly. Their big new product is the photo freedom collection, which will be shipping to stores in October & I LOVE Allison's new line for it--

KI Memories is back with an AMAZING new line, the washi is to die for, the embellies are adorable & the colors are perfect to tie it all in!! Here's a few pics:

Of course you know Studio Calico is INCREDIBLE, when is it not nowadays?! From the inspirational layouts to the bits & pieces, to the black & white winter city paper, it's all just to DIE for, I cannot wait to get my hands on every bit of it, which is no surprise. CHA 12 [Day 2]

I feel like Day 2 of CHA is always the worst butt kicking day lol The first day you might be sleep deprived, you might not get to see everything, but you're SO pumped you make it through, and even stay up late just thinking about all the new amazingness. The last day, bittersweet and shorter. BUT as tired as I may be, today was definitely a blast and of course I've gotta show off some of the goodness!

Basic Grey-- An adorable monogram make n take, meeting these two beautiful ladies && AMAZING new lines?? All booths should be that fun, and I am SO glad I'll be seeing them again soon, those of you Scrapfest ladies, make sure you check out Kelly Goree's classes, absolutely LOVE her, and you might be seeing a familiar face working with her :]

The papers are absolutely GORGEOUS, and the Soleil line is my favorite, reminds me a LOT of Sassaffrass, and could not be happier about it! Fave product? Definitely their new alphas, you can paint them mist them, whatever you want && the size is INCREDIBLE! I cannot wait to get to play with some of these guys!

&& I'm sure all of you are already in LOVE with the new October Afternoon, it is truly beyond amazing, I'm in love with it, Midway is going to blow you away! Here's a few pics from their booth:

One of my favorite memories this week?? Meeting Lexi, she's AMAZING & I'm so glad she ended up getting to come to summer show :]

I was also completely surprised by how INCREDIBLE Glitz Designs new lines are. I cannot wait to USE their products, from the bokeh inspired Yours Truly line, to the stamps that come in these adorable tins, I will forever be a fan! The girls were incredibly fun to meet, and had the comfiest couch :]

CHA.12 [Day 1]

The first day is always a whirlwind of activity, trying to figure out what you want to see most, and finding friends :] NOT being a store, I don't have to worry about hurrying to purchase product when companies run their specials, so I just get to enjoy what I love most about paper crafting-- the people & the products!

After meeting rukristin-- Kristin IRL at the airport :] we headed to CHA, here's some images & details from our day:
Today's first feature and my absolute favorite line of the season personally-- Dear Lizzy's 5th & Frolic. I am in LOVE with this line, and cannot wait to get my hands on every bit of it. The pastels are dreamy, the embellies are ADORABLE & how can you NOT love anything she does? And such a sweetheart, every time I meet up with her! [& SUCH a cute make n take!]

If you didn't know, it was Elle's Studio's first show this year, they released some super cute new tags, pennants & calendars that are PERFECT to add to PL, or any page, adore the colors and cannot wait to get my hands on them, had a BLAST meeting Elle & Jenni for the first time :] Just check out this awesome layout--

  

Now I LOVE my Mr. Huey's, and an occasional OA Sprinklers kinda girl, but once Heidi Swapp started sharing sneaks of her new SHINE, I just had to find out more. Her resist products were a huge hit, along with the memory files that came out last CHA, but I wasn't quite sure how to really use them, until today, and I will be buying up allllll the colors of Shine for sure! CHA countdown.

I LOVE this time of year, when the sneaks start && I get to start packing for Summer Show. I think I love it even more because my bestie lives in Chicago, so I turn it into a vaccay (a week long this year!) combining an incredible tourist trip && my love for scrapbooking :)

I can already tell you this summer's show will NOT disappoint. With the sneaks I've seen, I can already tell I'll need some serious restraint on what I'm going to buy, but I am unbelievably excited to get there! As promised, I will be seriously overloading your instagram & twitter feeds with sneaks, peeks & my faves from the booths && plenty of touristy shots from the amazingness Chicago hosts :] I LOVE it, and I am so excited! If you have a favorite that you're hoping to see, let me know, I'm more than willing to check out your favorite company, or try to find your favorite designer for you-- three days of being surrouned by my favorite thing on the planet?! What more could a girl ask for??

  Off to finish packing, which I actually enjoy! Don't forget about my stash sale here the bids on the Studio Calico sets are still pretty low, you might be able to snag some of your favorites for an INCREDIBLE price :]

And I know over at Studio Calico there's been a lot of talk on the boards about the prices of the add-on stamps, and I DON'T know the best answer, but I'm gonna go with this way..... I have the stamp from the Four Square add on, the graph that I know I won't ever get around to using, but fell in love with the rest of the kit. I know a TON of you missed out on this stamp, and I would LOVE to make someone happy. ***** I also have the Louvre Add On stamp, Jetsetter & the hot air balloon stamp-- make sure you keep checking back, I'm adding new ones ALL week!

Okay so I may not know much about html, but a girl can google, and she has friends, so normally for an internet/social media junkie, I can do pretty good with figuring things out. As you might've read, my blog totally malfunctioned and I had NO idea how to fix it. BUT I just figured it out and I am so ridiculously excited! It was SO frustrating to hold a blog hop & have a lame background lol Especially when this one is perfect for me! Now I can worry about important things, like making myself a new icon, right in time for buisness cards :]

Cannot believe CHA is in less than 2 weeks & I am SO ready to get out of Ohio & see my bestie! I see a Cubs game in my future, and LOTS of pictures with my DSLR [its first trip to Chi-o!] eeeeek! I've already started packing I'm so pumped lol

Welcome to our Social [Media] Butterflies blog hop!

Almost every scrapbooker I know is writes a blog, is on facebook, twitter, the message boards-- we like to stay connected to each other! My favorite is instagram, we enable each other from the new scrappy items we've bought to our latest Target adventure and see even more into each other's everyday life. The dearlizzy polaroid paper is definitely one of my favorites, I bought a few of them to hoarde, but Echo Park & Studio Calico make similar designs as well. But when I saw her page what I reallllly wanted was to make use of my Lawn Fawn Say Cheese stamp set. Here's what I did with the same basic layout as Trisha's page--

As you visit my blog the next few days, it will be going through a few changes, so I apologize for the state it could be in when you visit LOL. Please ignore it's simplicity while I work out the kinks, and just look at the pretty pictures :]

Getting a lot done lately, and counting down very impatiently to CHA! I cannot wait to go back to Chicago & walk the show! I LOVED last summer, and it cannot get here fast enough! I will be there early to spend time with my bestie, Sarah, who lives in CHi-O & we'll squeeze in a show, shopping, the Pier, & hopefully a Cubs game! I LOVE going to visit her, and it's so nice combining a visit with show, especially since this one'll be nice & long! Any suggestions on things to do/see that I maybe haven't?! I love checking out new things when I go, there's always so much to do in the city!

Now to finish the night scrapbooking, I am seriously working my butt of to get projects done. I'm realllly missing being at a scrapbooking store, & with Simply closing I'm just super bummed. I would LOVE to work at a store again, especially since BWs just isn't cuttin it these days. I'm on a mission to find something in the scrapbooking world, because that's where I want to be. && I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something comes up soon, I'd LOVE to spend all my time surrounded by what I love most :]
